Derry, NH - City Lights Electrical provides critical
manpower in restoring power to many of the 1.25 million
who had lost it following one of the worst Ice Storms in
this century. To facilitate the restoration effort City
Lights Electrical set up two mobile command centers from
which it's crews were directed.
The first command center was in Westboro, MA. working
with National Grid and the other in Derry, NH working
with Public Service of New Hampshire. From Westoboro100
workers working in many cities and towns on the 495 belt
worked to first repairs critical distribution lines. Tom
Keough City Lines Line Superintendant directed the
effort, working with Arnie Crabtree the General Foreman
for the Westboro area and those working to the north in
New Hampshire.
The second command Center was in Derry, NH. from here
265 line workers were sent across the state working for
Public Service of New Hampshire. Because of the wide
area of damage some crews were required to break away
and work independently. "These crews did an exceptional
job working in difficult conditions to start, added with
more bad weather that followed" stated John Deady, City
Lights President. They were lead by General Foreman
Richards Bates, Michael Gray and Jeff Utz
Maryanne Cataldo, City Lights Founder and CEO commented
" This is by far the largest restoration effort we have
under taken and I am amazed by the speed the crews were
mobilized and completed the power restoration."
City Lights Electrical's Line Division has respond to
storms and outages across the country. For more
